I haven’t given a weight update in a while, so here’s one. I took about a week of vacation over the 4th of July holiday, and fell off my diet wagon for a few days. But very thankfully, I got back on the wagon and am back on track. I didn’t weight during that time because I figured no news is better than bad news. And if I have to live by the saying, “If you don’t have something good to say, then don’t say anything at all,” then scales should have to abide by that as well. After a couple days back on my eating plan, I weighed and I was at the same weight as before the holiday. Then I was stuck there for several more days. But finally started losing some weight again, and actually got to 24.5 lbs lost on Friday, the 18th. My goal was 25, so just 1/2 pound away. Then my scale died, so I couldn’t weigh over the weekend. We had to go buy another one yesterday, and when I weighed the morning, it said I had gained 4 lbs since Friday! I’m guessing this scale weighs a little heavier than the old one, of course. But I’ll just go ahead and go with it. So really, I’m probably at my goal weight, but according to the new scale, which is all I have to go on, I’m at about 21 lbs with 4 more to lose. I’ve moved in 3 notches on my belt since I started, so that feels good. And I can wear probably about 25% of my XL shirts that I had grown out of. I haven’t decided on a new weight goal yet, but I know I will be very happy to be able to fit into all my old XL T-shirts, and my Columbia khaki pants. I have several pair of those that are brand new that I’ve never been able to fit into. Maybe that should be my next goal, instead of a number.
