Jesus Is A Friend - Crowder Style

Many of you have probably already seen this youtube video by now of a group called Sonseed singing a song called Jesus Is A Friend of Mine. If you haven’t, you need to watch it. It will change your life… most likely.
This video has been shown all over the place recently since it exploded onto the internet. Most of you have heard of David Crowder. He’s the worship leader for University Baptist Church in Waco, and he’s also now a world famous musician, worship leader, author, inspirational speaker, cult hero, freak of nature, praying mantis look-a-like, etc. Even with all his fame, he still leads worship for his hometown church in Waco when he’s home. A few weeks ago, he was leading worship for his church. The pastor there showed the above SonSeed video at the beginning of the service during announcements for a good laugh. Well, if you’re familiar at all with David Crowder, you know he never passes up an opportunity like this. So during the sermon, he and the band go back into the pastor’s office, and actually teach themselves how to play and sing that song. They know they will be needed once more on stage for the benediction. So this video below is what happened when it came time for the benediction. Keep in mind the 2 guys you see on stage have no idea that Crowder is about to do this. Hilarious.
Classic Crowder!

While visiting Karen’s blog, I noticed the link to YOUR blog, and just had to check it out. I love David Crowder and totally enjoyed the videos…so funny! Our internet connection is slow, so while the videos were downloading, I browsed your blog. Rusty, you are one thougtful guy…a guy…full of thoughts. Very cool. Keep it up. I enjoyed reading it all. Much love to your family, Annette

Annette, thanks for the kind words. I thought it was very selfish of me to keep all my thoughts to myself, despite what all my friends said. We do need to find time to get our families together again.
