Big Brown lost the 3rd leg of the triple crown today.  His trainer had said that if he were to win the triple crown, he would be put out to stud.  IF he had won, his stud fee would have been $300,000 per romantic endeavor.  And he expected to have 100 horses in line to pay this stud fee.  So we are talking in the neighborhood of $30 million just for stud fees.  Hmmm….

I wonder why it’s ok to prostitute (or gigilo) horses.  There was a racehorse recently that an owner purchased with the intentions of putting him up for studding.  Turns out, the horse doesn’t like girl horses.  They can’t get him to mate.  Bummer.  Now what.

Unfortunately Big Brown lost the Triple Crown.  So I guess he’ll have to settle for something like $100,000 per romantic endeavor… assuming he likes the ladies.  Still not a bad wage for a few minutes work.
