I’ve been trying to lose weight and get in shape and healthy for several years now. Ever since my 5 year old was born, it’s been downhill, or I guess uphill if we are talking about my weight. I’m at the most I’ve ever weighed, or at least I was a week ago. I have trouble getting started eating healthy. Last week, I finally gave myself an ultimatum. If I don’t lose 25 pounds by the the time the fall softball season starts, then I’m not going to play. I enjoy playing softball very much and would really hate to not play. So I’m trying to give myself some incentive. I think it’s very realistic, but it won’t be easy. It will probably be about a 12 week time period.

So from here on in my posts, I will end each post with an update on how many of the 25 pounds I’ve lost, in case anybody is following. And hopefully this will give me some public accountability incentive too. So here goes the first update. I started on Monday, May 19, and 5 days in, I’ve lost… (drum roll please)

6 pounds, and have 19 more to go.
